About Us

About DeSoto Drywall Pros

We are a local drywall repair team in DeSoto, TX. We do one thing, and we do it properly: repair drywall that water has damaged — walls and ceilings — from the first moisture reading to the last coat of primer.

Who We Are

DeSoto Drywall Pros serves homeowners in DeSoto, TX — ZIP codes 75115 and 75123 — and nearby cities within about 25 km (15.5 miles). DeSoto sits 12 miles south of Dallas, on I-35E and I-20, in southern Dallas County. Most of the homes we work in are the brick homes built across DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster over the last few decades, plus newer homes in places like Hidden Lakes Estates and Summit Parks.

We are a small, local team. When you call, you talk to the people who will explain the work, not a call center. We answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because water damage does not wait for office hours. A burst pipe at 2 a.m. is still a burst pipe, and a sagging ceiling does not get safer by morning.

What We Do — And What We Do Not Do

We repair water damaged drywall. That means wet drywall removal and replacement, ceiling water damage repair, flood-cut repair, drying and moisture detection, repair after a pipe or roof leak, texture matching, mold prevention during repair, and help with insurance documentation.

We do not do general remodeling, full home renovation, or plumbing and roofing. If the leak is still running, it needs a plumber or roofer first. We will tell you that plainly on the call, because new drywall should never hide a leak that is still active. We also do not claim to be mold remediation specialists. When we talk about mold prevention, we mean the steps taken during a drywall repair: remove wet board, dry the cavity, and treat the exposed framing — not a separate remediation service.

Our Process

Every job follows the same four steps. First, you call and tell us what happened — where the water came from, what room it is in, and what you see. Second, we inspect and measure. We use moisture meters to find how far water travelled, because the wet area is almost always bigger than the stain you can see. Third, we cut and dry. Wet board and wet insulation come out, and the cavity is dried with air movers and a dehumidifier until it reads dry on a meter, not just dry to the touch. Fourth, we rebuild and finish: new drywall, taped and mudded, sanded, textured to match, and primed, ready for paint.

We explain each step in plain words as we go. You will know what happens next, what the timeline looks like, and what we need from you. If the wall is not dry yet, we say so, and we wait. Covering up wet work is the most common reason a drywall repair has to be done twice, and we do not do it.

Areas We Serve

We serve DeSoto and nearby cities within about 25 km: Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Glenn Heights, Ovilla, Lancaster, Red Oak, and Grand Prairie. Inside DeSoto, that includes neighborhoods such as The Meadows, Thorntree, Eagle Crest, Brandonwood, Frost Farms, Amber Terrace, Hidden Lakes Estates, and Summit Parks. If you are not sure whether we cover your street, call and tell us your ZIP code.

Why Call Us

Call us if you want the wall fixed once, not twice. We measure before we cut, we dry before we rebuild, and we match the texture so the repair blends in. We give straight answers, we keep you updated, and we do not add scope you did not ask for. If a job is small enough to be a stain-only repair, we will say so. If the board has to come out, we will say that too, and explain why.

Most of all, call us early. Mold can start in 24 to 48 hours when drywall stays wet, and a sagging ceiling can fall. The sooner the wall is checked, the smaller the repair usually is.
